About

California kid, Gen-X troublemaker, geek, former startupeteer, political progressive, loves chocolateI worked with software and technology companies in California’s Silicon Valley (and "The Bay") for over 20 years, including a dozen startups (one IPO + 2 acquired) and several Fortune companies, making a career in those early days of mostly doing things for which a degree, training or certification often didn’t even exist until after we figured it out and got it done.Degrees I do have, but do not presently use: developmental and behavioral psychology, and political science (international relations + organizational theory and behavior). Technically, I’m also an ordained minister but haven’t seen the inside of a church in decades. I blame ADHD, and religious hypocrites.Something more personal? Ok then. I collect fortune cookie fortunes. And I'm someone who writes notes and letters for special occasions, birthday and Christmas cards, and even the occasional love letter people seem to remember fondly forever. The patient also enjoys composing on the piano, writing, local volunteer efforts, Progressive politics, and thinking up new ways to solve old problems.
